Rope rescue specialists save 12-year-old girl

CFA’s North East Region's Technical Rescue Brigade and Mt Beauty Brigade Rescue responded to a call from Ambulance personnel to extract a 12-year-old girl (Heidi) who had fallen 10 metres into the Gorge at Beechworth and sustained a severe neck injury.

Hazelwood North collision

A CFA member has been involved in a fatal motor vehicle collision while on CFA business at Hazelwood North this afternoon. The member was not injured. Our thoughts are with everyone involved, especially the family and friends of the deceased. The member is being supported by CFA, as are the firefighters who responded to the incident. Sink hole rescue
