Recognition of prior learning

Matt Ahern is captain of The Basin Fire Brigade and a Community Education Coordinator at District 13 so he has depth of CFA experience. He was, however, lacking national accreditation for some of his hard-earned skills, but that has changed with CFA’s new process for recognition of prior learning (RPL).

Emergency services test crisis response

Firefighters from across the Geelong area were called to reports of a chemical smell on a V/Line train which started to affect passengers on board. This set the scene for a counter terrorism exercise which was undertaken at V/Line’s Depot at Geelong West this morning (Saturday 30 May).
