Longwood thank-you event attracts big crowd

About 450 people attended a special barbecue at the Longwood Community Centre on Sunday 29 March, to thank firefighters and landholders affected by the devastating 5500 hectare bushfire at Creightons Creek late last year.

Berringama welcomes a new fire station

It was during the afternoon on Friday the 20th March 2015, when CFA Chief Officer Euan Ferguson officially opened the Berringama Fire Station, in the presence of Bill Tilley MLA., District 24 Operations Manager Paul King, Brigade members and the community.

On a beautiful autumn morning in the Upper Murray Region of Victoria, the Biggara Fire Brigade welcomed Chief Officer Euan Ferguson and his wife Kristin to open their new fire station and to present service medals representing over 900 years’ service to the brigade and the community.

District 24 50th VFBV Rural Championships

The District 24 VFBV Rural Championships were held in Chiltern on Sunday 1st March 2015, marking the competitions 50th Anniversary. It was great to have the Chief Officer Euan Ferguson and his wife Kristin, attend on the day to assist the President of the District 24 Rural Championships Committee Ron Leary, and VFBV Board Member Gerry Neyenhuis, with the presentation of trophies to the competitors.
