Aberfeldy fire situation 7 Feb 2013

The Aberfeldy fire spotted over control lines on the northern edge, west of Glenfalloch Station today, 7 February developing rapidly in the hot, dry conditions and creating a smoke plume visible for many kilometres.

On Thursday February 7th 2013 CFA brigades from District 8 and 13 were paged to form a Strike Team and headed to Gippsland due to recent bushfires in the area breaking their containment lines.

Firefighters were called to a truck fire on the Princes Freeway at 7.50pm last night, the driver saw flames coming from the trailer and pulled over to contact fire services.
