Sunday the 5th May 2013, saw the Higgs Family honoured in front of around 80 guests with the naming of the Brigades Meeting & Training Room. Captain Bruce Jewell had the honor of announcing that "effective from today the room will be known as the “Higgs Family Meeting Room” or the Higgs Room as I am sure it will be called."

Home owners Declan and Kathryn were so impressed by the CFA volunteers that they wrote this letter of thanks.
