Engaging CALD communities

What is CALD? CALD stands for cultural and linguistic diversity and refers to people who identify as having a specific cultural or linguistic connection. The connection may be due to a person’s place of birth, ancestry, ethnic origin, religious beliefs or language(s) spoken at home. This includes people who identify as part of the deaf community.

New animation for summer

In January 2016 a beautiful animation Illustrated Guide to Defending your Home during a Bushfire was released online by the ABC. Designed by Melbourne-based animator and illustrator Lucy Fahey, the animation explains the resources and preparations needed to actively defend a home during a bushfire.
