Sinking vessel off Portland

A 5.8-metre recreational fishing vessel placed a mayday call via VHF Radio to Portland Coast Guard at 1450hrs Monday afternoon to say their vessel was sinking.

CFA & Coast Guard working together

The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard has been deployed for the second time in one week to support the CFA logistics team to transport stores and equipment. The locations they have travelled to include Heyfield, Euroa and Violet Town. They have delivered much needed supplies for the fire fighters who are continuing to battle fires in these areas.
