2014 MFB/CFA - RCH relay
The 5th Annual CFA/MFB 'Two Services, One Cause' 14-hour relay for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal is on again on Thurday 17 April 2014
This year marks the 5th anniversary of the relay run. CFA and MFB running clubs have joined forces to raise funds for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. We are seeking interest from all members interested in running or fundraising/tin rattling.
The relay event for 2014 will run from 7am to 9pm on Thursday 17 April - 14 hours in total.
As part of the relay, the team will have at all times a CFA runner and an MFB runner completing a lap/s of a block in Melbourne’s CBD. (Bourke St Mall) The aim of this run is to raise awareness of the Good Friday Appeal to people in the city for the 14-hour period and to receive donations for this special cause.
Last year we raised $27,115.80 and ran 205 laps or the equivalent of running from the CBD to Bendigo.
If you are interested in being a runner/jogger, or are happy to donate an hour or two or even more to do tin rattling, or have any questions, then please email:
The event is open to all staff and volunteers so please distribute widely.
Thank you for your support for this great cause.
