2014 Resilient Australia Awards
Do you have, or know of, a project that has helped communities to be better prepared and strengthen their disaster resilience?
If so, the 2014 Resilient Australia Awards may be the perfect way to recognise and promote initiatives across the nation that are making our communities safer, stronger, more resilient and better prepared to manage any emergency situation.
Now celebrating its 15th anniversary, the awards program welcomes entries from organisations and individuals across a range of sectors including not-for-profit, private, government and education.
New for 2014 is a photographic section with categories for amateur and professional photographers to submit images representing what disaster resilience in Australia means to them.
Entries for the 2014 Resilient Australia Awards are open until Wednesday 2 July and must relate to projects/initiatives which commenced after 1 January 2012, or demonstrate significant outcomes or enhancements since 1 January 2012.
The Resilient Australia Awards are sponsored by the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department in conjunction with the states and territories.
For information about the awards and how to enter, visit 2014 Resilient Australia Awards or contact the Victorian convenor at the Office of the Emergency Services Commissioner (03) 8684 7938.
