Project Expo this Sunday
More than 60 of the latest vehicles, equipment, IT platforms, programs and training resources will be on display THIS SUNDAY from 10.30am-5pm at the Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre Preston at the Emergency Services Project Expo.
CFA, DEPI, MFB, SES and the new Emergency Management Victoria are collaborating for the event to bring in displays representing 65 projects.
The displays will span a broad range of areas from operations and training to community safety, volunteer support and member health.
Members from all agencies are invited to come along at any time throughout the day to see what’s new, talk with project teams, and check out equipment and IT prototypes close up. Family, friends, industry contacts and colleagues are all welcome at the free event.
Prototype and newly-implemented equipment at the Expo will include:
CFA Scoresby Hoselayer, Technical Rescue Pod, Mobile Command Vehicle, Firefighter cooling harness, Hydraulic Pole Saw, Rooftop Safety, Alpine Vehicle, Mobile Training Props, Manage your Mental Health and other tools and resources to support volunteers.
MFB Unmanned Aerial Vehicle project (drones), Mark V pumper, new training centre at Craigieburn, Emergency Incident Action Plan (software platform/application)
DEPI Prototype vehicle-mounted flame-thrower and self-propelled incendiary flare, and aircraft projects.
SES New storm response trailer, inflatable rescue boat, transportable mass casualty shelter, 4x4 Medium rescue, FOV, Mobile Incident reporting app.
Up to ten vehicles will be at the expo including the MFB Mark 5 pumper and up to three large Mobile Command Vehicles.
EMV New Emergency Services Integrated Communications Vehicle. Emergency Management Common Operating Platform (collaborative internet-based data and information system)
