The collaboration with the districts around the Brigade Sustainability Pilot and the Wellbeing Pilot will continue.

These initiatives are implemented as part of CFA’s response to recommendations from the Jones “Report of Inquiry into the Effect of Arrangements made by CFA on its Volunteers” and the Victorian Auditor General’s Office report  “Managing Emergency Services Volunteers”.

OT&V teams are already working with RLTs and district offices to introduce some of these initiatives and raise awareness. Briefings and workshops will follow into 2015. On the other hand, District Volunteerism Coordinators are introducing to district catchment teams the tools and resources developed to support brigades in recruitment, retention and recognition activities.
