Alpine Resorts Vehicle Trial Update

Over the next 24 months CFA will be developing a trial to test and evaluate the building and implementation of a concept 'Alpine First Attack Vehicle'.

The trial, by the Fire & Emergency Management - Service Delivery Strategy Team in collaboration with District 23 and Mount Buller Fire Brigade, will ensure the vehicle is appropriate for the winter and summer seasons and therefore meet the future service delivery needs of the Alpine environment.

The Alpine Resorts Vehicle development has progressed over the last three months. In April, the vehicle build contract was awarded to Bell Environmental and since then the project team has approved the layout design, allowing the cab chassis to begin its transformation. The photos below show how the build is progressing and it should be ready to hit the snow in just a few weeks.

CFA members can access regular updates on the project from Brigades Online: Brigades Online > Fire & Emergencies > Projects > Alpine Resorts Vehicle Trial
