Fun and Games for All

This year Melbourne is the host city for the 2014 Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games (APESG).  With the games being held over the Easter holiday period between 19-24 April it is a prime opportunity for CFA personnel to be involved in what is shaping up to be the biggest and best games ever.  Over 1000 competitors have already registered for the 41 sports on offer with the organisers predicting approximately 3000 competitors.

For further information regarding the Games please visit the
website http://www.apandesgames.com.au/index.cfm?fuseaction=Main
Registration for the Games closes on 7th March.

If you feel your good enough to compete against the rest of Australia’s Emergency Service personnel then go for gold.  If you just want to have some fun and enjoy the participation of the games now is the time to complete your registration via the website and start preparing to have some fun.  You never know you might surprise yourself and collect a medal in your chosen sports.

The CFA Sports & Recreational Association (CFASRA) has produced a Polo Shirt to commemorate the games that is available free of charge to all CFA personnel who have registered to compete in or volunteer to help out at the games (see picture).  If you have already registered or are about to do so and would like a Polo Shirt please contact the CFASRA on sra@cfa.vic.gov.au with your size and address details and we will get one out to you.

The CFASRA also has sporting apparel that competitors can purchase for the games or for other sporting activities they may be involved with.  Check out the pictures in the photo galleries CFASRA Clothing 1 & 2.  If you would like any of the items please contact the SRA on sra@cfa.vic.gov.au for more details.  Some stock sizes are limited.
