The Board of the Country Fire Authority has appointed leading Victorian health sector executive Frances Diver as the Chief Executive Officer of the Country Fire Authority.
Ms Diver has worked for more than a decade as a senior executive in the now Department of Health and Human Services.
For the past five years Ms Diver has had policy and performance oversight of Victoria's hospital and ambulance systems and has extensive experience in the emergency services environment. Prior to joining the Department of Health and Human Services Ms Diver worked extensively in front line and senior management roles across the health care system.
Ms Diver will commence in the role on 27 June 2016, and the board has asked Chief Fire Officer, Joe Buffone, to also act as Chief Executive Officer until then.
