On Friday 21 February 2014 Ballarat City brigade received two Type 4 Scania pumpers worth more than $1.5 million.

The vehicles were funded through CFA's Vehicle Replacement Program and keys were handed over by Simon Ramsay MLC, Member for Western Victoria.

The pumpers each carry 2,000 litres of water and replace two older models which are now in service at Wonthaggi in South Gippsland and Warrandyte on Melbourne's northern fringe.

Ballarat City brigade is an integrated station with approximately 67 volunteer and career personnel. They respond to more than 1,500 incidents a year and their heritage dates back to 1859.
