Warrnambool OIC Paul Marshall features in the video.

The two-minute film highlights the diverse firefighting experience and friendly work environment at the station, while giving an insight into the outdoor-focused lifestyle staff can enjoy while off shift in the area.

Filling these vacancies forms part of CFA’s Growth Programs, known as the 350 Firefighter Program (P350). This is our current state government commitment to enhance service delivery in a range of communities, which includes increasing mixed-rank staffing numbers at fire stations.

Warrnambool Officer-in-Charge Paul Marshall said he needed several more firefighters ranking from Firefighter Level 2 to Station Officer to support new recruits coming on station in December and deployment of specialist equipment.

“Growth Programs has recently completed renovations at the station, adding four bedrooms to bring the total number up to 12,” Paul said.

“As a fire service agency, we need to respond to population growth in our community, which is why we’ve renovated the station and are looking to fill vacant positions to support new firefighters starting their careers in Warrnambool.”
