Brigade magazine goes online
For many, this is the beginning of a new era. For others, it will be a sad day of walking away from the tried and tested practices of the past.
I think we're somewhere in between.
The online version has the bonus of added features including video files and links to picture galleries and other extra information. It also looks kind of cool if you're into that sort of thing and keeps CFA Connect just one click away.
The flip side of the coin is that you can't hold it in your hands, dog tag your favourite articles or roll it up and stick it in your glove box. And, of course, if you're on dial-up, you're little chance of even being able to read it.
So given that we're between worlds, we're still printing the hardcopy at the same time as developing the online version. Whatever you prefer, you won't lose anything by the mag going online first.
Connect is allowing you to tell so many more stories than the magazine, at four editions a year, could ever do. But for those who still love the feel of 100% recycled paper in their hands, fear not, the hardcopy's not going anywhere.
