Brigade skips ahead thanks to local business
Over the past six months, as the transition to a new station has taken place, Eltham Fire Brigade has received generous assistance to remove rubbish from sites thanks to Jon 'Juppy”'Jupp from local business Juppy Skips.
Juppy Skips provided a number of skips at no cost to the brigade which is a very substantial donation both in time and money.
“Every little bit helps,” says 1st Lieutenant David McCormick. “On behalf of the brigade I would like to thank Jon for his generosity and support.”
Jon responded, “It’s an honour to be able to support the local brigade in this way and to help the community”.
Many urban brigades can struggle with the connectedness to the community as they are no longer one of the central town focal points as they once were. Jon Jupp’s community connectedness and community spirit is, however, alive and well and Eltham Fire Brigade and the local community is all the better for it.
The brigade presented Jon with a certificate of appreciation for his efforts and looks forward to being able to use his services in the future.
