Volunteers from the Broadford brigade were looking for a break from the regular training routine and another way to promote their Facebook page when one member stumbled across the TAC’s 'Wipe Off 5' competition.

Within days brigade members had planned, choreographed, filmed, edited and submitted their 45 second entry into the competition.

“It takes us 5 to help you survive, so wipe of 5!” was the catchcry of the day where members enacted a turnout to a simulated MVA.

Broadford Fire Brigades entry was selected from amongst over 2000 other entrants as the winner in the Workplace category and was the proud recipient of $5000 for its efforts.

Recently representatives from the TAC Sarah Henderson and Candice McDonald made the official cheque presentation to brigade members.

Broadford brigade was also show support by local state member Cindy McLeish and Shire Rep Des Callaghan.

Broadford brigade and its members proudly support the TAC Wipe Off 5 campaign and the much needed funds will go toward a vehicle replacement.
