Building fire in Dandenong South
This morning (21 October) CFA firefighters attended a building fire on England Street in Dandenong South.
CFA brigades were called to the incident at 4.25am and the fire was under control by 4.45am.
The building was fully involved and surrounding buildings suffered minor fire and smoke damage.
Incident Controller Sam Webb said the cooperation between Victoria Police and CFA was seamless.
“Great teamwork between brigades and emergency services ensured that the incident was under control in a short time period,” said Mr Webb.
No one was injured in the blaze but CFA did rescue a kitten.
The scene has now been handed over to Police.
Eight CFA vehicles from Dandenong, Bayswater and Hallam attended the incident. Power and gas companies as well as Police also attended the incident.
