Firefighters have contained a fire on Tonkins Road, Kinypanial today, 1 November.
Crews were called to the affected farm property at 12.48pm to find a grass fire spreading.
18 CFA vehicles, including 70 firefighters and a helicopter, were called to the incident to help contain the fire.
An assessment following the fires measured the impact to 96 hectares which was within the owner's property.
The fire was contained before it caused any structural damage.
CFA confirms the property belongs to a CFA member.
District 20 Commander Mick Lavery said today's fire was caused by strong winds re-igniting a burn-off from a fortnight ago.
“The member was doing the right thing by cleaning up his property and burning off two weeks ago when conditions were safe to do so. However, this illustrates the importance of continuing to monitor your burn as a fire can flare up even many days after it is extinguished,” he said.
The incident was brought under control just after 2.30pm as crews turned their attention to blacking out over the next several hours.
Commander Lavery said there had been many fires across the state in today's challenging conditions.
"Fuel loads are high and very dry in the northern parts of the state and I urge everyone to be careful."

· If your burn-off gets out of control, call ‘000’ immediately
· Make sure that the fire is completely extinguished before leaving; if it's cool to touch, it's safe to leave.
