Call to community safety leaders
Do you have a great new way of delivering information to your community? Or maybe you have successfully trialled a different approach to community engagement. Or perhaps you know someone else who has! If so, we want to hear from you!
The CFA-SES Community Engagement & Hazard Awareness State Forum will bring together hundreds of CFA and SES members to hear from Brigade Community Safety Coordinators and other leading community engagement specialists.
The State Forum offers peer-to-peer professional development opportunities for members; and aims to deliver some of the tools, ideas and skills needed to work in local communities on fire prevention and community preparedness.
This year Mantra Lorne will host the State Forum across the weekend of August 6 & 7 and will focus on how we are ‘Working together for safer communities’.
CFA and SES members (volunteers and staff) are invited to submit their ideas for 30 or 60 minute sessions, presentations and workshops for the conference.
Presenting not for you? The State Forum will also host a ‘mini expo’ of stands where activities, programs and other initiatives are displayed and discussed. Still want to get your ideas out there, but don’t want to present or host a stand? A series of posters showcasing new programs and innovative community safety solutions will also be on display.
