Tungamah CFA Captain Simon Crawford realised a long cherished dream by winning silver in the World Firefighter's Games last week.

The event was held in Sydney and Simon’s triumph came in the 80km Road Race.

Simon said he is ecstatic at the achievement for which he been training hard for. In fact, he was only two bike lengths from the ultimate glory of gold. 

Simon started his cycling career at the age of 15 with the Yarrawonga Cycling Club and now rides with the Hume Veterans as well as being a member at Footscray.
