Car burns brightly in fire
A car was destroyed by fire in Keysborough last night.
CFA was called to the Cheltenham Road incident at 9.30pm.
The BMW SUV was well alight when crews arrived on scene.
It’s believed the male driver was waved down by a following car which could see smoke billowing from underneath the car.
The fire was controlled in less than 10 minutes but unfortunately the car was destroyed.
The driver, and sole occupant in the car, escaped unharmed.
The eastbound lanes of Cheltenham Road were closed for around 30 minutes.
Victoria Police was also on scene.
Four CFA vehicles from Springvale, Keysborough and Dandenong attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated.
