Caravan park fire Lima South
A quick thinking CFA volunteer and caravan park owner, reported a fire within one caravan at his park on Sunday afternoon (5 May) at almost 5pm.
The caravan park on the Midland Highway in Lima South (north east Victoria, north of Mansfield), saw fire spread quickly to another six vans and annexes. CFA crews managed to stop the fire spreading to adjacent structures.
Twelve units responded to the fire with approx. 48 firefighters in attendance. There are no reports of injuries.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
Fire investigators will attend the scene on Monday morning, while one crew will remain on scene overnight.
SES is supplying lighting and the local power company has isolated the power.
The caravan park is still open for business.
