Caro promotes safety at Bunnings
Caroline Springs brigade aimed to hold its biggest event yet, with a Fire Awareness Day at Bunnings Caroline Springs in late November.
With a number of activities running on the day, such as live demonstrations including a kitchen fire safety display and a simulated car fire, as well as fire truck displays, fire safety Information, kids' activities and a car wash, there was no shortage of things to do. The event saw a large number of people pass through before the rain hit.
"Overall, the event was a success," said Caroline Springs Firefighter Dael Darlow. "It provided a great way for the brigade to engage with the community just ahead of the fire season."
The day also coincided with the launch of the brigade's new calendar, which can be collected from the Caroline Springs Fir Station.
