CFA attends fire at retirement home

[Update 3.30pm: This fire is now under control. Emergency services will be on scene for some time.] CFA crews are currently on scene at a structure fire at a retirement village in Cranbourne East.

Crews were called to scene shortly after 1.05pm this afternoon.

All occupants have been evacuated and accounted for.

Hallam Hazmat will conduct atmospheric monitoring in the area.

The fire is not yet under control.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria along with nine CFA appliances from Dandenong, Hallam, Narre Warren, Cranbourne, Berwick and Clyde are in attendance.

An Advice message has been issued for this incident, there is no current threat to the community. CFA urges Victorians to stay informed and never rely on just one source of information for your emergency warnings.
