CFA brigades thank local sporting club
For many years the Tooradin & District Sports Club have supported local CFA brigades including Tooradin, Warneet-Blind Bight, Devon Meadows and Clyde just to name a few.
These brigades host their annual & biennial functions at the Sports Club which gives the hardworking volunteers a chance to let their hair down for the evening with their colleagues, family and friends.
These events also provide the brigades with the opportunity to recognise their member’s achievements and present National Medals, Life Membership’s and Service Awards while enjoying a delightful 3 course meal in the Club’s picturesque surroundings.
None of this would be possible without the consistent backing and support of the Tooradin & District Sports Club.
CFA District 8 Operations Manager Mark Kennedy was adamant this wouldn’t go unnoticed.
“In these current times of financial hardship, Tooradin & District Sports Club has recognised the hard work that our volunteers do and we’re very grateful,” he said.
“Not only have they offered financial assistance but they been generous with their time and resources.”
On Tuesday 14 March, local Captains and District 8 Casey Catchment Acting Operations Officer Andrew Turner met with Ian Jarred, General Manager of the Club to present them with an Appreciation Award in recognition of their dedicated and continued support to the local Brigades.
On behalf of CFA, we thank Ian and staff for your support at your fabulous venue.
