CFA Golf Club Masters Trip 2014
In October 2014, the CFA Golf Club conducted their annual 'Masters Trip' played over 3 days on the Bellarine Peninsula
The participants were a mixture of volunteers, career firefighters and retired CFA members from 5 different Districts who took part in 3 days of friendly competition at Queenscliff Golf Club, Torquay RACV Resort and 13th Beach Golf Links.
Various scoring formats were used and several different competitions conducted, although many would agree that the results are secondary to getting the chance to play 3 different high quality courses with a large group of CFA members that share a common interest in strolling the fairways and enjoying great fellowship and camaraderie.
A short video has been put together by club organisers that captures some of the fun, laughs, skills and thrills that occurred during the trip.

The major winners for the different competitions conducted are as follows.
Round 1 Winner: Luke Patterson
Round 2 Winner: John Townsend
Winning Pair - Round 2: Andrew Judd & Arthur Haynes
Winning Team - Round 3: John Murtagh, Daniel Lee and Rick Read.
2014 Masters Champion: Lee Austin (Hallam FB)
CFA Golf Club would like to congratulate VFF Lee Austin on his win and being awarded the famous 'Brown Tartan Masters Jacket'. We would also like to thank participants on the trip for making it so enjoyable, and a special Thank You to the CFA Sports & Recreation Association and the 'House of Golf' for their ongoing support of the club.
CFA Golf Club holds regular events throughout the year in various locations around the state, and we encourage any CFA member that has an interest in golf regardless of skill level or ability to join our mailing list to find out more about the club and our upcoming events.
