CFA invited to take part in Games
CFA members are invited to take part in the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games being held in Melbourne from 19-24 April 2014.
The Games will be hosted at various venues catering for more than 50 sporting disciplines and aim to perpetuate the tradition of friendly competition and inter-agency camaraderie.
There are sports for everyone on offer including swimming, basketball, cricket, cycling, equestrian, golf, marathon, netball, shooting, soccer, surfing, tennis, football, track and field and volleyball. Or, competitors might want to test their skills in some of the more obscure sports such as box tag, darts, pentanque, snooker, stair racing or, enter the ‘toughest competitor’ event.
Competition is in open and age graded categories catering for all levels of ability.
To be eligible for the Games, you must be a member of a police or law enforcement agency or a member of one of the below emergency service agencieswith at least 12 months of service and who is attached to a unit at the time of the event.
