CFA Open Day kicks off this Saturday
The first CFA Open Day event will be held this Saturday, 20 September at Learmonth.
The Learmonth-Addington Fire Brigade will be the first of many brigades around the state to open their doors to the community.
The event will be at the Learmonth Spring Market in the Learmonth Community Garden, High Street from 10.00am to 2.00pm.
Learmonth-Addington CFA Captain David Stowe said the brigade decided to host the event at the market as it was a popular weekend event for locals and visitor alike.
“Rather than hosting a separate event at the fire station, we thought it made sense to jump on the back of an event already happening locally,” he said.
“We are bringing fire safety advice and information to the community and I would encourage anyone in the area to pop past for a chat and a snag, especially with the summer fire season fast approaching, this is a great opportunity to ensure you, your family and property are prepared.”
