CFA rescues Boofa the kelpie

CFA crews spent more than four hours today rescuing a Kelpie stuck down a mine shaft.

CFA crews were called to the incident at Speary's Road in Dereel at 10.09 this morning (Wednesday 10/7) to rescue the kelpie that had fallen 4.5 meters down a mine-shaft. 

CFA crews from Dereel, Lucas HAZMAT and Geelong City Rescue responded and got Boofa out just after 2pm.

Boofa had been missing for just over a week but is now enjoying a big meal at home with his relieved owners.
