Community Safety at the Champs

With the first of our State Championships coming up at Tatura, I'm looking forward to watching some terrific events and taking the chance to catch up with members from around the state.

For those CFA families attending this year, I hope you'll take the chance to get down to the ‘CFA on Display' Marquee and visit the Community Safety stands.

This is a great opportunity to opportunity to see what's going on in Community Safety and talk one-to-one with staff about what these projects mean for your local community.

I would also strongly encourage you to take part in the Bushfire Planning Workshops we are holding for CFA members and families - click here for more information.

The following Community Safety programs will have a display at each of the State Championships events:

o GIS Mapping Services - featuring the EIMS Mapper system

o Victorian Fire Risk Register

o Township Protection Plans and Community Preparedness Guides

o Neighbourhood Safer Places - Places of Last Resort

o Home Bushfire Advice Service

o Diverse Populations Project

o Fire Safe Kids - School Education

To all our teams, I hope that all the hard work you've done on the training ground pays off with great results - wherever your team finishes on the table.

I'd especially like to acknowledge all the competitors and families who are travelling long distances to get to Tatura, Bendigo or Werribee - it is your dedication that makes the Champs the success that it is.

Travel safe, and see you at the Champs!
