Craigieburn lights up
Coinciding with the Craigieburn Community Festival, Craigieburn Fire Brigade once again organised a torchlight procession through the main street of town.
With brigades from District 2 and 14 taking part, the streets were crammed with people showing their appreciation for the local brigades, who had come through a very tiring week. And it was a credit to the brigade to hold this year's torchlight with crews only just returning form a major fire in Oaklands.
With the Salvation Army putting on a fantastic supper, many thanks were given to all members who attended back at the fire station, and the winners of this year's outstanding marching were announced.
Winner (Rural) - Yarrambat Fire Brigade
Winner (Urban) - Lara Fire Brigade
Many thanks go to the judges this year: Group Officer Gerry Hauke, Operations Officer Phil Peacock, and Leading Firefighter Troy Lowther.
You can see some Marching footage here thanks to Tom Winter from Craigieburn brigade.
