Daylesford boathouse café destroyed
A popular café in Daylesford was destroyed by fire last night, 8 December.
CFA crews were called to the Boat House Café on
Around 30 firefighters battled the blaze for about 40 minutes but were unable to save the popular café which overlooks
CFA Daylesford Captain David Walker said the front wall of the cafe was all that was left standing.
“Firefighters were able to save a toilet block near the café but unfortunately the popular tourist spot has been destroyed,” he said.
The fire is still being investigated but it’s not suspicious.
CFA crews from Daylesford, Hepburn and Leonards Hill attended the incident.
