Engaging your community [video]
A new video resource for brigades, developed by brigades was released today titled ‘Engaging Your Community – Practical examples from brigades across the State’.
The 30 minute video takes members through some of the great practical ways brigades are promoting fire safety in their local area.
CFA’s Executive Manager of Community Capability Terry Hayes said CFA members have a highly respected voice in their local community.
“Coming from a local member, fire safety information really hits home. This video captures some of the great initiatives being driven by different brigades from right around the state,” Terry said.
The video will be provided to brigades to show at brigade meetings or training nights to encourage others to pick up some ideas on simple ways they can promote fire safety in their local area.
The video is available online now and includes a passionate opening from CFA Deputy Chief Officer Steve Warrington who also acts as the video’s narrator. A hard-copy will also be posted to all brigades on a memory stick in the coming weeks. A DVD option will also be made available where chapters can be watched individually.
