Euroa hay shed fire
CFA crews are battling a hay shed fire on a private property in Euroa. The hay shed, measuring 20x30 metres, is fully involved.
Rostered Duty Officer Tony Owen said there was damage to machinery including a forklift and a semi-trailer, but there
is was no threat to surrounding properties or communities.
“An advice message has been issued informing the public Strathbogie Road has been closed, and there is a large amount of smoke visible over the road due to the incident,” he said.
13 trucks and a Field Command Vehicle from Euroa, Violet Town, Balmattum, Kelvin View, Locksley, Shean’s Creek, Branjee, Rigg’s Creek, Longwood, Strathbogie and Creightons Creek are on scene.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
