CFA crews have responded to an incident on Princes Highway in Dandenong South today (Saturday 3 December).
A large pile of truck tyres ignited on the factory premises.
12 CFA appliances attended the incident, with Hallam Fire Brigade the first on scene.
Community members were warned of smoke in the area, and asked to stay indoors and avoid the area if possible.
The fire was brought under control at approximately 7.10pm.
