14 fire crews from Dingee Tandarra, Mitiamo, Campbells Forest, Cohuna, Hunter, Kamarooka, Lockington, Northern Campaspe, Pine Grove, Pyramid Hill, Raywood and Tennyson, assisted by aircraft, responded to calls of a fire in the engine of a header, spreading into an oats crop at 3.30pm (Monday, 3 December).

Strong winds helped the fire burn for more than a kilometre to a nearby railway line, damaging sleepers. V-Line is working to repair the track.
