Fire engulfs Sebastopol home
Two adults and two children have been taken to hospital after their house caught fire in Sebastopol this morning.
Update @ 11.45am: The fire was under control at just after 11am. The house has been destroyed by the fire. The cause is unknown at this stage but a fire investigator is due on scene soon.
CFA was called to the Birdwood Avenue house at 9.21am. The single storey weather board home was well alight.
Two adults received some burns and were taken to hospital by paramedics. Two children were also taken to hospital for observation.
District 15 Operations Manager Gavin Hope said firefighters are still on scene trying to control the fire.
“Unfortunately we don’t know the extent of the damage yet or the cause of the fire, but we will investigate it once the fire has been extinguished,” he said.
Four CFA trucks from Sebastopol and Ballarat City are on scene.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended the incident.
