Fire in Officer

CFA crews were called to reports of a house fire in Turnbridge Road in Officer shortly after 5pm today, Saturday 24 December.

Incident Controller Justin Van Den Brook said the fire, which started in an outdoor area, had impinged on fencing of three other houses.

“The fire has involved a deck and living area of one house and because of its location, being in the back corner of the property, the fire also caused minor damage to fencing of three other properties,” he said.

A number of crews were in Breathing Apparatus taking care of the fire inside a house, while crews worked on protecting the neighbouring houses.

While crews were on scene they found two kittens.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

CFA crews from Officer, Beaconsfield, Pakenham, Toomuc and Frankston attended.
