Fishing invite for northeast men
A weekend invitation is extended to any men who would like a break from bushfire recovery.
A men-only fishing weekend is planned for Friday May 3-5 at Mt Beauty. The weekend is organised by Each, an organisation thatprovides support activities for the bushfire-bereaved community including social activities, community forums, remembrance events, communications, advocacy and capacity building.
The invitation is particularly extended to men who havebeen rebuilding homes, sheds, re-fencing, re-planning your lives, restocking, reinstating farm equipment, dealing with weeds, replanting gardens, helping mates ..... but perhaps it’s come at the cost of helping yourself.
Men not keen on fishing are still very welcome – come and enjoy the company, a few campfire yarns and, of course, a cold one.
The weekend will be popular so please only book if you can commit for the whole weekend (Fri - Sun).
All paid for:
Shared log cabins in Mt Beauty close to great fishing and other great activities;
Fishing equipment hire if you don’t have your own;
Dinner ... but hopefully you’ll have your own catch to cook!
Transport to get there a problem ... maybe we can help.
Only limited places available so book by 26 April.
