I am pleased to announce four volunteers have now been appointed to CFA’s Board.

Timothy Young, Lynda Hamilton, Peter Shaw and Hazel Clothier have been nominated by the Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria and today were appointed by the Victorian Government.

They join Chair Greg Smith AM, Deputy Chair Michelle McLean, Dr Gillian Sparkes, Pam White and Simon Weir as part of the nine-member Board.

The variety of backgrounds and skills will be an asset for CFA, providing strong leadership and support to ensure we can continue delivering for our communities.

Timothy Young, a member of CFA since 1980, is Brigade Secretary and Treasurer at Little River Fire Brigade and brings with him an extensive background in law.

Lynda Hamilton has been a CFA member since 2011, has held brigade management roles, and has a strong background in managment consulting and change management.

Peter Shaw, Deputy Group Officer at Knox Fire Brigades Group and a volunteer firefighter since 1974, has a long history in police and emergency services.

Hazel Clothier has been a CFA member since 2008, is currently captain at Warburton Fire Brigade and has a background in biomedical science and epidemiology.

I look forward to welcoming the new members to the Board and drawing upon their skills for the benefit of CFA.
