CFA members will be out in force this Friday taking part in the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Whether it’s standing on street corners rattling coin tins, or conducting a community fundraiser, CFA members have always placed the Good Friday Appeal close to their hearts and taken great pride in raising funds for this important charity.

This dedication has been ongoing since 1951, where many of CFA’s 59,000 dedicated members have shown their support by raising over $22 million for the appeal.

This year, CFA and MFB will demonstrate their mutual support for the appeal by taking part in a number of activities including a high angle rescue challenge at MFB’s Burnley Training Complex. This event will be televised as part of the Good Friday Appeal coverage.

There’s also a 14-hour relay race, where over 50 CFA members will join their MFB counterparts in the annual Melbourne CBD run, completing laps of the city block to raise funds for this cause.

Our very own Captain Koala, accompanied by CFA’s Moomba Queen April Himmelreich will also be out and about on the day visiting the kids at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
