Good Friday Appeal 2013 kicks off
CFA is encouraging members to get behind the 2013 Good Friday Appeal on 29 March.
The appeal is a unique fundraising activity that brings people together from all parts of the community in a very special way, with the common goal of raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Formore than 60 years, many of CFA’s 62,000 dedicated members have shown their support by raising over $22 million for the appeal.
The face of this year’s appeal is three-year-old Isla Hallam, who has spent much of her young life isolated from the outside world to protect her vulnerable immune system.
Now in remission, Isla’s fragile smile and golden locks grace the 2013 Good Friday Appeal poster to encourage all Victorians to dig deep and donate to the 29 March appeal.
Last year the Good Friday Appeal presented the hospital with a cheque for $15.8 million, which was a new record for the appeal. CFA members also broke their record by collecting a whopping $1.25 million of the total.
