Good Friday Facebook auction
As part of Point Cook Fire Brigade's fundraising efforts for this year's Good Friday Appeal the brigade is holding a special Facebook auction.
Among the items up for grabs are a custom-made Pt Cook Fire Truck toy box and a knitted CFA wooly hat. For photos of all the items in the auction and to bid see the Point Cook Fire Brigade and Community Good Friday Appeal page.
Bidders need to be able to collect and pay for items before 3pm on Good Friday (March 29).
The auction is just one of the events the brigade and the local community are holding to raise money for the Royal Childrens Hospital appeal.
A Family Fun Day will be held in Friar Park next to Pt Cook Fire Station on Dunnings Road for kids big and small.
Free activities will include face painting, a jumping castle, mini makeover and manicures. If all that activity leaves you feeling peckish food vendors who are donating a percentage of their sales to the appeal will be on hand.
The brigade and local community groups are looking to beat last year's total of $21,000 most of which is collected door to door by firefighters and community volunteers.
Buses will shuttle volunteers to strategic locations around Pt Cook, Seabrook, Sanctuary lakes, and Werribee South to maximise the amount collected.
Get your school, group or club together and pre-register for the day (catering will be provided for community volunteers).
