Spring weather is truly here and CFA firefighters got a taste of the season to come when they were called to a grass and scrub fire at Blue Gum Plantations this afternoon (18 September).
Shortly after 12.40pm crews were called to the scene on Trentham Road.
The fire was due to an out-of-control burn-off.
It was called under control just before 2.30pm.
Community members have been advised to be mindful of smoke in the area and take care when driving, especially along Trentham Road.
Police and VicRoads were notified for traffic control.
Nine CFA vehicles from Tylden, Woodend, Kyneton and Carlsruhe attended.
