UPDATE, Thursday 3.10pm : The grassfire in Kellalac is now under control.
Firefighting aircraft have completed their work and crews are now mopping up for the next several hours.
An advice message has been issued for the town of Kellalac.
Rostered Duty Officer Ian Day said Kellalac is no longer under threat from the blaze.
"Fire crews have done well to contain the grassfire," he said.
"Crews will remain on the scene to strengthen containment lines and ensure the fire remains safe."
UPDATE, Thursday 2.15pm: CFA crews are currently battling a grassfire near Barrat Road in Kellalac.
Crews were called to the fire at 1.20pm and the fire is still not under control.
The fire is approximately 150 hectares in size.
6 trucks as well as air support are working hard to contain the fire.
The grassfire is travelling in a south-westerly direction towards the Kewell North School Road.
A watch and act message has been issued for the towns of Blackheath, Kellalac, Kewell, Murra Warra and Wallup.
Don't wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay.
