Heyfield Group's generous donation
A brave little boy from Clifton Creek in East Gippsland has raised some money for CFA.
Cooper and his family were caught up in the Aberfeldy fire that burned through the Glenmaggie area. Cooper was camping at the Paradise Valley Campground near Glenmaggie during January when the fire engulfed the Glenmaggie area.
Cooper decided to raise some money with his school to recognise the work of the volunteers that saved his life. The Clifton Creek Primary School where Copper attends as a Grade 1 student invited CFA to visit the school to talk about fire safety.
Cooper collected $110.15, which he has donated to the Heyfield Group of Fire Brigades to thank them for helping Cooper and his family.
The Heyfield Group Secretary was very surprised and humbled by the little boy’s fundraising efforts. Hugh Stagg said “I have the biggest conundrum. I don’t know what we will spend the money on”.
Cooper would love to know what the group decide to spend the money on!
