Hoddle's Creek Presentation Lunch
Hoddles Creek Fire Brigade recently held a presentation ceremony to recognise achievements of the brigade members.
Recognition of dedicated service was made though the presentation of CFA Life Membership Medals to Robert Worlley 50 years, Ex Captain Ted Gramlick 40 years and Brendan Collier 30 years . These were presented by CFA Board Member Michael Tudball, who congratulated the trio on their enormous contribution.
In addition, Robert Worlley was awarded Hoddles Creek Brigade Life Membership and was the recipient of a 50 year CFA Life Membership Medal. Robert has served with the brigade for more than 50 years and has enormous respect from his peers. Throughout this time he has been ever willing to assist in anyway whether it be firefighting operations, training or fundraising.
Ex Captain Ted, who led the brigade for 12 years and is a former DGO with Upper Yarra Group, was the recipient of a 40 year CFA Life Membership Medal. He is well regarded for his leadership qualities and his ability to work within a team.
Brendan Collier was presented with a National Medal and clasp and a 30 year CFA Life Membership Medal. Brendan has served with several brigades during his 33 years of service combining his career as a DMO with his volunteer membership. He has been a member of Hoddles Creek Brigade since 2009 and is OIC of Mt Evelyn Workshop.
During the function, service awards were presented by Operations Officer Don Tomkins to Lieutenant Leonie Turner and Bronwen Livingstone (both 20 years), Lieutenant John Williams, Mark Barrile, Helen Brain, Carolyn Cole-Sinclair (15 years), Colin McLeod, Paul Moore (10) and Phillip Porter (5).
These members have provided more than 245 years of dedicated service to the brigade and CFA.
